Investigation of criminal offences by the State Revenue Service
The Internal Security Department was established on 1 January 2018.
Its operations and investigations are supervised by the Latvian Prosecution Office.
Internal Security Department’s main purpose
The Department’s main purpose is to detect and prevent criminal offenses committed by State Revenue Service employees and to conduct investigations in criminal cases as per the law “On Prevention of Conflict of Interest in Activities of Public Officials”.
